An international student, caught between the weight of academic pressure and the silence of grief, confronts the fragile balance of survival far from home. The Sands of Time is a story of loss, resilience, and the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward.

An exploration of identity, memory, and healing, the film is my directorial debut, dedicated to my late older sister. Writing and creating this piece became a way of opening old wounds to tell a story that resonates with the unspoken struggles of international students everywhere.

Independent work thrives when built on trust and collaboration. I’m grateful to the Digi60 Microgrant Program and to everyone who poured their creativity, time, and heart into shaping The Sands of Time. This project is more than a film—it’s a time capsule of love, sacrifice, and resilience.
